Moving On Resolution

The start of the New Year and the end of the old brings New Year’s resolutions and celebrations. Along with those, as a businessman you are preparing your business plan. Be sure to reflect on your successes and failures of the years past and learn from them both. Dale Carnegie has pointed out, “A successful man will profit from his mistakes and try again in a different way!” It is all part of moving on, not dwelling on the past, but learning from it.

This is also true in our lives. We have all had past experiences, friendships and other relationships that have positively or negatively impacted our lives. Make it your resolution to move on and forgive. For those situations where it is more easily said than done, consider that the only person the bitterness is hurting is you. The True Identity Bible interprets Ezra 4:4-6 to realize “what’s beyond your control, do your best to be at peace. Forgive again and again, repaying evil with kindness.”

Resolve to move on. Stop letting things and people beyond your control zap your energy and stand in the way of your happiness.

Happy New Year,
